SWDG Show Jumping 3rd May 2015
Everyone woke up to a wet morning but by the time we had loaded up at Holbrook it had cleared and we had no rain at Moreton all day. I think many riders will have stayed at home, but those that came had a great time with lots of positive feedback. The candy strip rosettes being very popular.
The 50cm class, won by Will MacEwan in his first ever competition, warmed a few riders up for the popular Horse and Hound competition, which was won by Bronwen & Teak with Lucy G and Charcoal, they are now looking for a hat trick as they won at the CHSC Show last August.
Riders with their young horses found the courses, built by Moira, perfect for encouraging and gaining confidence.
In the later classes, Sara stirred things up by making the jump offs more technical, but Mollie G still came out on top! Well done Mollie.
Many thanks must go to Claire Sturmey who yet again spent the whole day helping, Sarah Tyrell who kept the riders flowing into the arena and June Eames who took over from Lucy G as secretary. Lucy and Sara Greenwood enjoyed seeing so many happy faces at the prize givings.
Now we looking forward to the Combined Training Competitions at Holbrook in June and September.
